Normagene is a versatile and results-oriented risk management professional with over 30 years of experience in the private and public sectors. Currently, she is the Risk Manager at Port Everglades. As one of Florida’s busiest seaports, she is challenged in managing the Port’s diversified risks, which range from infrastructure failures and industrial accidents to passenger injuries. Moreover, her background in multiple areas of claims handling and FEMA disaster recovery has improved the efficiency and management of claims.
Before transitioning to the public sector, she worked in the Aerospace industry which provided a broad base of environmental, health, and safety knowledge. There, she gained extensive experience in project management, operations, and organizational development, which she used to help the organization achieve strategic and operational goals while mitigating risks.
