Kate originally studied Psychology at the University of Reading before embarking on a career in consultancy, enhancing business performance through psychological and human focused approaches, with a particular focus on safety, health and well-being.
She later went on to earn a Ph.D. in Organisational Psychology from the University of Bath for her research into Quality of Working Life. Returning from study Kate went into Senior Leadership roles overseeing safety, health and well-being culture change within large organisations.
More recently Kate has trained as a Master Practitioner of Cognitive Hypnotherapy, a Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming, a Practitioner of Integral Eye Movement Technique and is a certified Sleep Performance Coach. In 2019 Kate launched her business Origami, which draws together her unique blend of knowledge, expertise and experience in working with corporate, private therapy and coaching clients.
Kate’s work with organisations focuses on safety (psychological and physical), health and well-being culture change consulting and Executive Leadership Coaching and webinars on a range of well-being related topics to help inspire and educate individuals and businesses about the benefits of looking after mental well-being.
Most recently Kate has applied her diverse knowledge and experience to developing cutting edge BioPsychoNeurological approaches to organisational safety culture change and developing the Leadership Re-Imagined training programme (described as “revolutionary) with a view to redefining the landscape within which business engages in continuous improvement.
In her spare time Kate is an artist developing and channelling creativity through her artwork, all of which features imagery of the natural world.
